The Purpose of this Website (con't):

Understandably, many people are concerned over the potential loss of sections of the Elk Mountain Trail and access to the Elk/ Thurston Ridge while logging is taking place.

Our concerns also lie with long term plans for continued harvest where the Chi-ihl-kway-uhk see fit; potentially jeapordizing even more of the trail in the future.

Who are "we"? For the purposes of creating and adding content to this website, it is a number of members from the Chilliwack Outdoor Club. However, there are numerous other local hiking clubs as well as countless ouotdoor enthusiasts with no outdoor club affiliation who also share in these sentiments.
